Gail Dillon, M.Ed

Therapist - Knoxville

The decision to seek therapy takes both courage and a leap of faith. I would be honored to walk beside you on your journey toward wellness. I am a clinical mental health therapist who offers nonjudgmental empathy, kindness, and life experience. We all struggle with something, and I have certainly been there myself. Having experienced and addressed my own traumas allows me to be more attuned and responsive to your challenges.

I hold a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William & Mary. My varied background includes serving in the U.S military as both an Army enlisted soldier and an Air Force officer, as well as 20 years of being an Army spouse. As a result, I have a special place in my heart for veterans and their families. I primarily use a person-centered theory, understanding that everyone is unique and will benefit from different approaches. I have experience with Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), among others. As a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, I love to incorporate elements of the mind-body connection when and where it’s appropriate.
